01 · What it does
The suture does the lifting, so nothing is cut away.
Most people who come in about their neck want the line under the chin back, and cannot take three weeks off to get it. This procedure sits in that gap.
The platysma, suspended
A light-guided suture passed beneath the skin suspends the platysma, the sheet of muscle that gives the neck its shape. No external incision, nothing cut away: a repositioning of what you already have.
Where the muscle has separated and the skin has gone past holding, a suture is not enough. That is the surgical neck lift.
Submental fat, if it is there
Where the fullness is fat rather than muscle, submental liposuction is done in the same visit through the same entry point.
Which it is on you is measured at the consultation, not guessed from a photograph.
The skin, left where it is
Nothing is removed. The skin redrapes over the suspended muscle, so it needs tone of its own. Where it needs help, FaceTite tightens it by radiofrequency in the same visit, priced together at $7,800.
Skin with genuine excess will not take up over a suture, and that decides between this and a neck lift.
02 · Who it suits
It works when the skin still takes up.
Skin that still has tone, and muscle laxity rather than skin excess: people in their late thirties to fifties, and anyone left with a slack neck after weight loss.
Where there is real skin excess, Dr. Stone will say so and recommend the surgical neck lift at $11,000 instead.
03 · How it is done
A light-guided suture, through entry points you will struggle to find.
Under local anaesthetic, a suture is passed beneath the skin along a path lit by a fibre-optic wand, so Dr. Stone sees exactly where it runs. Drawn up around the platysma, it restores the angle under the chin and the jawline.
There is no external incision. The entry points, under the chin and behind the ears, settle to very little.
About ninety minutes in the chair. Under local anaesthetic alone you can drive yourself home. With sedation, a responsible adult drives you.

Submentoplasty, for a neck that is heavy rather than slack, is the fourth conversation, at $3,500 to $6,500. A jawline implant adds projection, at $10,000.
06 · The surgeon
The nerve that moves your lower lip runs under the suture.
The platysma sits over structures, the marginal mandibular nerve among them, that a surgeon has to know in three dimensions. Dr. Stone trained in oral and maxillofacial surgery across three Level 1 trauma centres, rebuilding exactly this anatomy after it had been broken.

07 · Questions
The six questions this procedure raises.
Will there be a visible scar?
No. The entry points, under the chin and behind the ears, settle to be very hard to find.
How long does it last?
The practice puts MyEllevate® at around five years, against up to ten for a surgical neck lift. The suspension is permanent, but your neck keeps ageing around it. Skin quality, weight stability and genetics all move that number.
Can I drive myself home afterwards?
Under local alone, yes: the practice’s own guidance is that you can drive yourself home and resume most activities straight away. With sedation, a responsible adult drives you, as for a neck lift.
Is this the same as a thread lift?
No. A thread lift places barbed threads in the soft tissue and dissolves over months. MyEllevate® is a permanent suture around the platysma itself, placed under direct light guidance by a surgeon.
Can I have it if I have already had a facelift?
Often, yes: it refreshes a neck without a larger operation. Bring the operative details if you have them.
What does it cost, and can I finance it?
