MyEllevate uses a suture system, placed through very small entry points, to support the tissues of the neck. It sits between non-surgical treatment and a formal neck lift.

It suits a neck with good skin quality that needs support rather than removal of skin.

What it is

The technique places a suture beneath the skin, through small entry points rather than a long incision, to lift and support the structures under the chin and along the jawline.

It is typically performed under local anaesthetic, sometimes with light sedation, and is often combined with treatment of fat in the same area.

Who it suits

It is best suited to people whose skin still has reasonable elasticity and whose main concern is definition beneath the chin rather than a surplus of skin.

Where there is substantial loose skin, a procedure that supports without removing skin will not address it. In that situation a neck lift is the more appropriate operation, and being told so is a good sign.

Compared with a neck lift

The trade-off is scale against scope. Smaller entry points and a quicker recovery come with a more limited change, and results depend heavily on the starting anatomy.

Ask to see results from patients whose necks resembled yours before treatment, and ask what would happen next if the effect were less than hoped.

Recovery and durability

Swelling and bruising are usually less than after a lift, and most people return to normal activity relatively quickly. There is still a recovery period, and instructions about activity matter.

Ask how long the effect is expected to last for someone with your skin quality, and how the tissues are likely to change afterwards. No procedure stops the process that produced the concern.
